A traditional game in a unique quality and design. The popular tossing game is challenging both physically and mentally as it requires concentration and body control to assess the distance and throw the rings with precision. At the same time, the game is fun as it can be used in many kinds of competition. The game includes two supports so that it can be placed at an angle to make the game easier for very small children.
As a kid it felt like everywhere I went in my small town had one of these ring toss games to play. Every store, restaurant, marina, you name it. I even know people who have these in their homes. I've wanted to set up one of these on my porch myself, but being a renter I was hesitant to bolt a hook and eye bolt into the wall and ceiling. After a little bit of brainstorming I came up with this design to not only make something that wouldn't leave to much damage behind, but also be portable. Now I can throw this in my backpack and take a little bit of my history with me anywhere I want to go.
For the pole I used a telescoping magnet from harbor freight and the hook I picked up at the hardware store. Aside from that I used some string I already had and stole a thumbtack from my cork board. I also used some magnets I had left over from another project, but for anyone who might have to buy some these are 5mmx2mm. I also used some super glue to the magnet and pegs in place. For the pegs I did find that I had to go back and sand them some, but that wasn't an issue for me. If you have time I would suggest making the tops of the pegs thicker as they have a tendency to break. Lastly I end up changing my mind about using the peg to hold the ring holder into place. I noticed it had a lot of tension on it so I decided to remove it. Instead I used a piece of old bowden tube I had. I ended up putting a small dab of glue on the peg and using it to hold the bowden tube in place before cutting it flat.

The rings are just a hair wider than the neck of the target bottle or spike, says Hester, and are made of hard plastic to facilitate extra bouncing. If the carny shows it can be done, you should suspect he's using a larger ring than you're given or that he scores by dropping it from directly overhead, a move that, like the Basketball Shoot, is virtually impossible from the player's position.
The goal is to toss two softballs into a large tub. You may remember this as the Bushel Basket Toss. But farming baskets have been replaced with plastic "muck" buckets from home improvement stores so that the ball gets extra bounce.

You just need some paper plates, scissors, a paper towel tube, some tape, and crayons or paint if you want to colorize the paper plates. You need to cut holes in all the paper plates except one so that they look like big rings. The paper plate you don't cut just needs a small hole you then insert the paper towel tube in and tape to the plate so that it stands straight-up. Once you have that part prepared you then give each student a paper plate ring to throw and the game begins!
Have each student throw their paper plate ring at the tube/pole. The goal is to have the ring go around the tube. Anyone who does that wins! The kids who miss can keep having a turn until everyone wins and then the game is done.

The function of Danish oil is to provide a hard-wearing finish, rather than a particularly fine or high-gloss finish. Repair requires professional sanding and refinishing. What kind of diving rings did you use, and how big are they? We are trying to make a ring toss game for small kids. I had thought of the diving ring idea, but everything I find is weighted on one side so they stand upright in water, and it seems like those would be hard for kids to throw in a ring toss game.
We believe that God is the loving Father of all kids. It is HIS divine will that young people come to faith in Jesus Christ and find salvation through the Gospel and the work of the Holy Spirit to bring them to faith.
Tie the ring onto the string, it should hang down about 4 feet away from the backboard and hook. Adjust the length of the string until the ring easily fits onto the hook. If when it swings it hits above or below the hook, it needs to be adjusted.
There are probably other variations on how to play the hook and ring toss game. This is how we play. The object of the game is to swing the ring on the string like a pendulum and have it catch on the hook.
