I would rate this book ten out of ten. I'm a 44 year old man and I've been lifting weights for the last 30 years or so and I have learned the importance of proper form but being able to do long slow control movements like the "iron cross" while getting stronger is a unique and MUST HAVE concept for someone who wants to get STRONG. I started training daily with the convict conditioning 1 and 2 and I find it surprisingly has changed my life...for the better. I love how it doesn't just give you exercises you need to do and how they look. Instead, you get a well thought out progression of training steps that should be done for each exercise as well as a real person who explains the movements...you can actually feel the coach "coordinating" your movement making it much easier. I highly recommend this program to anyone who thinks they are above the 5th grade.
After reading the book on convicts, i set out to start the program. It took me about a month to get back into the groove and make the program a habit. Today i have a routine that rarely requires thinking and allows me to access my strength exponentially. I highly recommend it to everyone!
I bought the convict conditioning books in the past & never got into them. I recently found them on my grandkids bookshelf. They were a bargain and i bought them all...hope i don't regret it. I have gotten everything out of them and been working out for over 2 weeks. I am going to start my next workout today. The whole program is very structured and at the same time easy to understand. Thank you for a great resource!!!
