The episode begins with Taiga Kagami practicing alone at a streetball court, restless with excitement to play against the Generation of Miracles. He recalls his previous conversation with Tetsuya Kuroko, who told him that he would be destroyed by their strength, and doesn't care whether the match is official or not as long as he can play against one of them.
From the sidelines, Kuroko states that he doesn't know that person and that he had underestimated how quickly the Generation of Miracles would improve in the few months since their time at Teikō Junior High. Kise calls the match disappointing after scoring once and asks Kuroko to join him at Kaijō instead, calling Seirin a waste of his talents. Kuroko respectfully declines and explains both that his thinking had changed since middle school and that he had already promised Kagami to defeat the Generation of Miracles together. Kagami only smiles at his defeat, glad that he's against a strong opponent, and backs up Kuroko's challenge before the episode ends.
This recap of House of the Dragon's second episode contains spoilers for...well, for House of the Dragon's second episode. That's pretty much what a recap is. Proceed accordingly.
If you're just joining us, here's a recap of episode one and here's a glossary of people and places you may have forgotten.
Game of Thrones delighted in what it believed were sudden, surprising rug-pulls, like in the episode in which Littlefinger met his ultimate fate. House of the Dragon also loves a fake-out, it seems, so when the King announces his decision to wed ... Alicent Hightower, the only ones not gobsmacked by this twist are those of us who've been watching the episode.
In Making the Cut there are twelve contestants competing against each other in every one of the ten shows of the series. The judges at the end of each episode choose a making the cut winner from all designers. As well one or two candidates who had the least convincing design delivered need to leave the show. At the end of the show there will be twelve winning outfits, but only one winner left in the show to win the prize money of one million dollars.
